Untitled Works is a design studio founded on the belief that great brand identity is never decoration — it's the clearest possible expression of what something truly is. We work with founders, creative businesses, and cultural institutions who understand the difference.
Every mark, every weight of type, every breath of white space is a decision. We work slowly, carefully, and only with people who want something that endures. We do not produce templates. We do not rush. We do not compromise on the things that matter.
These aren't mission-statement words. They're the actual reasons we turn down work, push back on briefs, and stay up until the kerning is right.
We remove before we add. The most powerful identities are defined by what is absent as much as what is present. Simplicity is earned, not chosen.
Every decision is deliberate. Typefaces, spacing, colour, weight — nothing is accidental. We obsess over the details that most people never consciously notice, but always feel.
We tell clients what we actually think. If a brief is wrong, we say so. If a direction is weak, we don't dress it up. The best work requires trust, and trust requires candour.
We design for ten years from now, not for the current trend cycle. Timelessness isn't boring — it's the hardest thing to achieve in a world that rewards novelty.
We work with clients, not for them. The best outcomes arrive when both parties show up fully. We invest in every relationship as if it's the most important one we have — because it is.
We take fewer projects to do better work. A small studio with a long waiting list makes better work than a large one with an open calendar. We've chosen small.
We are a studio of three — a creative director, a brand strategist, and a motion & digital designer. Every client works directly with the people who make the work. No account managers. No hand-offs.
Léa spent eight years at Pentagram London and Studio Dumbar before founding Untitled Works in 2019. She works at the intersection of typography, concept, and culture — and believes that every brief contains a single essential question that design must answer.
Saoirse brings identity systems to life across digital and moving image. Trained at the RCA London, she handles web art direction, animation, and all aspects of identity rollout — ensuring that what's designed on paper works just as well on a screen or in motion.
Léa Marchand establishes Untitled Works as an independent practice in Riga, taking on the first three clients from her personal network. The studio name reflects a belief that great work is always in progress — never finished, only released.
A complete identity system for a Copenhagen-based ceramics brand puts the studio on the map in Scandinavia. Recognition from Brand New launches the first wave of inbound enquiries from outside Latvia.
With strategy demand growing, Tobias Vane joins as Brand Strategist. The studio formalises its discovery process and begins turning down briefs that lack clear strategic foundations — a policy that shapes the studio's reputation for depth.
Two projects shortlisted for the D&AD Awards. A feature in It's Nice That introduces the studio to a wider international audience. The waiting list reaches six months for the first time.
Saoirse Kern joins to lead digital and motion, completing the current team of three. The studio launches its Content Studio retainer offering, expanding the relationship with existing clients beyond initial identity work.
